Chapter four(Part one): Is that so?

Houma's p.o.v

Slowing down after putting a good distance between me and the red one, my stride became slow and careful. I take notice at how the path is very different from the sandy patches of Little town. It's made of very flat, smooth stone and feels warm beneath my paws. Comforting. But I imagine it becomes very hot during the season of Burning sun. And as of right now, it is still New blossom.

As my paws continue down the trail, I gaze upwards at the trees. Admiring how the suns rays bounce off of the green leafs, and bestowing vibrant colors to the flowers scattered about. A breeze flows by, causing the trees to dance and rustle, as the wind whispers into my ears. Such a thing is called 'The melody of the forest' by my homelands. All that is missing is the gentle whistle of the Nuzleaf.

I close my eyes as the soft tune flows through my memory, and my paws happen closer to that which I've sought. Opening my eyes I notice the detail of a large entrance carved in the side of a mountain. And two other Pokemon in front of it.

"Ahh!" A sharp cry sounded through the air as I witnessed a tall green figure fall from a line of smooth twigs. Only to be caught by another red Pokemon. I run up to them to see if they are alright and I become aware of what they are. A Leavanny, the one that had fallen, and I believe the other is a Scizor.

"Excuse me are you-" I began only to be interrupted "Ah! I am SO sorry, Fleet!" Apologized the Leavanny, as she stood from his grasp, bowing her yellow head causing her leafs to quiver. "It seems I'm always falling over myself! If I was more careful you wouldn't have to catch me all the time!" Fleet gave the ashamed female a warm, comforting look and spoke to her "It's fine Kiki. You know it's my job to protect others, beyond guarding the guild entrance." Well now I know that I have arrived at the right place. But I stay quiet, so as to not appear rude whilst they continue speaking.

Kiki sighs, replacing her look of shame with a very bright smile "I know, Fleet. And I'm happy that you'll always be there to catch me, though, I will still try to be more careful-" as she spoke those last words, her gaze had turned my direction, and was no doubt surprised when she saw that I am sitting here. Fleet looked at me in surprise, as well. But quickly gathered himself and approached me.

"Hello. May I ask what you're doing here?" He said as he kneeled down, closer to my level. At last I can speak "Greetings, I am called Houma." Standing up, I stretch out my left paw, in greeting, as I introduced myself. He seemed confused by the gesture, but none the less, introduced himself "Now that's an interesting name. I'm called Fleet, it's nice to meet you." He replayed, will stretching his claw towards me. It seems it's my turn to be confused. I am unsure of what to do, but I notice Kiki locking her leafs together and shaking them. Taking the hint, I place my left paw on his outstretched claw, and shake it, as demonstrated. Taking the greeting Fleet speaks to me again. "Perhaps you'll answer my question now?" What? Oh, yes! That's right. "Ah, of course. Just a moment ago, I heard you say that this is a guild. The Dragonair guild, yes?" He nodded his head and kept quiet as I continued "You see, I was hoping to join you're ranks, as a guild member." Now they BOTH  wear the look of surprise. As if they didn't expect to hear such a thing, from one like myself.

The Scizor's eyes look deep in thought. As if not quite believing that I am serious. But he finally took notice of the teeth, dangling around my kneck, as well as my lithe form. Watching his eyes, I can actually see him becoming more open minded. Finally, giving a smile, he stands up and gestures to the entrance, and we move towards it.

Taking in the large blue shape, anyone can make out the white wings carved out on both sides. What roused my curiosity, is all the symbols painted on the blue surface. "I will stay here. Kiki will show you inside, all right? When you get there a Kadabra called Bina will tell you where to start. " Nodding my head, I follow Kiki into the tunnel.

As we are walking in the dark Those odd symbols are still on my mind. "Excuse me, may I ask what those paintings on the entrance were?" She looked down at me, and without even blinking she said "Oh my, yes. Those paintings are there to represent the different exploration teams. Do you know what those are?"

"No, not really. Are they important?" My head tilting curiously to the side.

"Yes, they're THE most important aspect of any guild. Exploration teams of many different types come together, and are sent out to help those in need. The more help we have, the better." Her words echoed through the narrow space. Any guild?

"So, are there many guilds, or is it just this one?"

"Oh, there are very many. So many in fact, that even I wouldn't care to count them all."

We are walking down the path, and It is now darker than I would have expected. Further down, the air seemed to get hotter and hotter. Nearing the end, I can see some red blurs in the distance. As we continue, I look nervously up at Kiki, she doesn't seem unnerved by what we are heading towards, so I calm myself down. Having reached the end of the tunnel, I see a sight that I didn't expect of this guild at all.

There were pools of lava scattered all over the ground. There were also deep red, earthy paths, held up by some dark rocks that I had never seen before, which are higher than the lava and lead to a huge tower that rested in the center. I saw a lot of fire based Pokemon, as well. Though I have no recollection of their names, except for a few water Pokemon, such as Vaporeon, Croconaw, and Totodile, but the others are off in the distance and weren't too recognizable. To the eastern side from the entrance, there was a much bigger fire Pokemon, who's arms were a circular shape with a hole going through the rounded bit, and it seemed to be giving orders out to the smaller ones, that didn't have the circular arms.

Kiki leads me down the uneven earth, that veers into different paths here and there. On each separate path sat a Vaporeon, who can be seen cooling the air around us. A few, seemed to be familiar with the bug/grass type, and greeted her on our way. Even taking a moment to watch me carefully.

And finally, the tower. I had only heard stories of things such as this. I simply could not find the words to describe just how big it is. But, what I can describe are the distinctive shapes of Pokemon, carved out of stone. The first starting by the towers base. A Dratini, staring skywards. I could almost read the ambition and determination engraved on its face.

On the middle a Dragonair was wrapped protectively around the grand structure. As if wanting to prevent it from collapsing.

And lastly, at the very top is a Dragonite. It appeared to be roaring to the heavens. Threatening to oppose any that dare disrupt its home.

We make it inside into cooler air. But I take no notice, as I am dazed and humbled to have been able come to such a place.
